Inspection Specifications

PART 1 GENERAL

    1. 02 SCOPE
      Basketball Backstop Standard Inspection & Maintenance
      A. All basketball units are to be inspected & minor corrections made
      B. All structure bolts tightened and torqued
      C. All units are to be raised or lowered to 10’ rim height
      D. All units are to be made plumb and square in reference to the court stripping
      E. All motors are to be tested for functionality
      1. General ware & tare
      2. Oil Leakage
      3. Limit switch
      F. All key switches are to be checked for functionality
      G. All safety straps are to be checked for functionality
      H. All safety padding checked
      I. All cabling inspected for fraying
      J. All welds to be checked
      K. Folding operation to be checked and possibly adjusted

1.03 REPORTING

  1.  A digital report outlining all points inside the scope as a pass or fail shall be sent in a .pdf format.
  2. Report is required 5 days after completion of inspections
  3. A digital picture of all equipment that fails must be sent with report.

PART 2 QUALIFICATIONS

2.01 CERTIFICATION

  1. Inspector or Inspection Crew must be certified by one of the following  manufacturers:
    1. ADP Lemco, Draper, Performance Sports Systems or Porter Athletics
  2. Inspector or Inspection Crew must have an OSHA 30 certification
    1. OSHA 30 card must be submitted with bid
  3. Inspector or Inspection Crew must have a minimum of 10 years installation experience
    1. A letter from the approved manufacturers confirming the 10 years of experience must be sent with bid.
